Papa's Pancakes

This August ( and into September ) we are having fun exploring our church cookbook, we are putting some of the recipes to the test. How will they turn out when we make them? I asked the ladies of the church to pick out a recipe, prepare it and send me a pic. I will be adding a new recipe picture every day as they come in. I hope you enjoy our culinary adventure.

Today, we get to hear from the Pace family.

Suzanne says:

"Daisy and Nathanael made Papa's pancakes for supper tonight. Daisy said she picked Papa's pancakes for three reasons.
1. Because of her Papa
2. Because the recipe was from Mrs. Abele
3. Because we had all the ingredients readily available.

You see, we had been trying to get our schedules together so that Daisy could make the pancakes for breakfast and it just did not work out. For several weeks, Eric had been leaving every morning before 6am…and our weekends were very full. So, we decided to have them at supper."

Sifting the dry ingredients.

Mixing in the wet ingredients

Cooking on the griddle

Golden brown and fluffy

We also like to fill squirt bottles to make shapes, letters, numbers, etc.

Also, crazy shapes

Papa's pancakes are great served with boiled eggs with a side of sausage.

Papa liked them. He said "It's a great evening meal"

A big "thank you" to Daisy for making supper.
She has such a servant's heart and loves to please her Papa."

Thank you, Suzanne.
